In Mathematics, Maths Week


Learning objective-  To demonstrate our continued understanding of the concept of multiplication.
Introduced and explored the concepts of area and perimeter.

  • Continued to use different strategies to show their understanding of the concept (grouping, repeated addition, tables and arrays).
  • Some children made regular and irregular shapes and discussed area and perimeter.
  • Some children drew shapes and found the area and perimeter of the shapes.
  • Solved word problems related to addition, subtraction and multiplication.
  • Discussed how maths is used in music and art.
  • Attended an interactive Math/Music performance by Clive Vas.
  • Friday was Maths Accessory Day and children made fun, mathematical accessories.
