- Students read books of their choice for increasing periods of time (reading stamina) through the Daily 5.

- Students will continue to review number systems - number names, place value, ascending and descending order, and ordering numbers.

- Students continued to play games which helped them to recapitulate the concepts learned.
- Students worked on hands-on activities with manipulatives to understand the concept of place value.
Unit of Inquiry

- Students will be able to understand the different food groups.
- Students will brainstorm what foods give us and arrive at the term nutrients.
- Students will be able to understand how different nutrients help our body and how daily food habits affect us.

- Students sorted various food pictures in different categories.
- Student analysed their snack and lunch food and placed different food pictures in the food pyramid.
- Students designed their own lunch plate using the app 'Pages' on an iPad.
- Students derived what nutrients were available in their lunch plates and listed them down.
