We brought in stacks of different folktales and allowed students to explore. At the end of the time, we pulled students together to share observations.
We put together students observations about the story on an anchor chart. Students made this anchor chart in their notebook.
Students wrote the vocabulary related to the elements of the story in their notebook.
Students drew the characters from the story and wrote their names .
Students enjoyed watching the story video. They discussed different characters and their behavior.
Students told the moral from the story and discussed their life experiences.
