GAMES -
BASKETBALL
GRADE 2-B –Students of grade 2-B learnt the skills of
bouncing the basketball, tapping the basketball (proper finger tapping
techniques by pushing the ball on the floor through our finger pads) and
fundamental movement skills of moving with the basketball while dribbling. Much importance was given on dribbling around the cones placed on the floor.
Age appropriate equipment was used throughout. Children were very capable of throwing the ball in the basket. Children were aligned in a straight line and each one took turns to score a point. Grade
2-B had fun playing a small sided game of basketball with a few simple rules of passing the ball, and limited dribbling with the ball. Such team games enable them to learn the concept of sharing and playing in unity as one team.
