We are beginning our final unit of the year that centers on performance. The central idea is "Everyone can perform, create, and respond to music in meaningful ways." Within this unit, we are inquiring into the elements of performance, what makes a successful performance, and what role the audience plays in a performance as well as expectations for performers and audience members alike.
The unit will culminate with the End of the Year Concert that is on May 19th at 8:30 am for grade 2. This year's theme is Broadway, and will involve singing and dancing on songs from various musicals. I am excited to see what comes of the students' hard work and efforts!
